LANGUAGE TUTOR
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Are you looking for a way to make a
difference in your community, and you can’t find a volunteer opportunity that
works with your schedule? Then volunteer to help someone learn English As
A Second Language. If you can speak English, you can make a difference in
someone’s life. Attend two free Saturday tutor
training sessions, and get matched
with adult learners who need your help. You can schedule tutoring times
convenient for your schedule, and close to where you live. The next 12 hour
training will be
June 19 and June 26,

The instructor will be
Catherine Mummert, perhaps the Dean of ESL tutor trainers in Southern
California. She is Director of Education at the Sylvan Learning Center in
Torrance and a Master Tutor for READ/San Diego. She has been training tutors
for the past 18 years and holds credentials in Education as well as in
TESOL(Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages
