Ilene Slapin  has been a certified Laubach tutor for almost 20 years and a supervising tutor trainer for more than 15 years. She was responsible for the South Coast workplace literacy program and has organized and managed several Laubach Centers in Southern California. She has extensive “hands-on” experience with Side By Side and her dynamic approach to using phonics in teaching ESL will be a special treat.
